Integrated Design

The Trimble R8 GNSS system is a product that combines multi-channel, multi-frequency GPS receivers, antennas, and data link radios into a compact housing. It features Trimble’s R-Track technology that supports all GPS signals, including the new L2C signal and the upcoming L5 signal after GPS modernization. It also supports GLONASS.

Comprehensive GNSS Support with Trimble R-Track Technology

Equipped with an enhanced RTK engine, Trimble’s R-Track technology supports GPS modernization, including the new L2C signal and the upcoming L5 signal. As these new signals are transmitted, they immediately offer tangible benefits to surveying professionals. Trimble’s R-Track technology also supports GLONASS L1/L2 signals.

Mature and Reliable System Design

From the powerful Trimble field software to the receiver itself, the overall design of the Trimble R8 GNSS system is well-tested and mature. As a rover, its rugged and compact design, along with cable-free connections, make it a top choice for field surveying. As a base station, it is known for its flexibility and cable-free connections. Depending on specific job requirements, the Trimble R8 can be used as either a base station or a rover.

Original Integrated Surveying Solutions and More

The design goal of the Trimble R8 GNSS system is to support Trimble’s original integrated surveying solutions. Using Trimble field software such as Trimble Survey Controller, GPS data and optical data can be combined into a single job file. This job file can then be seamlessly transferred to Trimble’s office software for processing. The Trimble R8 can also be used as part of Trimble I.S. Rover.
